Ah, Montgomery Wards. The only store I remembered that had canned sardines, Cup o’ Noodles and socks that cost under a buck. Let’s face it if you did any shopping there, you weren’t exactly getting top tier stuff.

But they did have one thing going for it: their games selection under the ‘Electric Avenue’ banner. Despite the store being a haven for the run down and out of luck, they did offer decent prices on their electronics. Here’s a flyer I had for their video games, circa sometime in the early ’90s.
