Black Friday might be over, but that doesn’t mean the deals are gone! Just like Steam, retail giant Amazon is still giving gamers a few chances to dig into their gaming wallets with a few good bargains! Although the savings are few and far between (until the Holidays come around, that is), it’s still refreshing to see some of the triple AAA titles within our reach! So if you’re a frugal shopper like me, you’ll love these low priced games that are fun to play and easy on the pocketbook!
The award-winning civilization franchise game has sold over 40 million copies worldwide. And Civilization 6 looks to continue that trend with updated graphics, enhanced gameplay, and more strategic real-time elements. If you love these types of games, then you can do no wrong picking up your very own copy at 25% off! As always, these are limited deals so act fast before it’s too late!
Great game. Cool music. Interesting story. Gameplay starts at 30 fps but can be changed to 60fps in the graphics settings. I am running an i7 5820k with a GTX 1080 and an i5 3570 with an RX 480 on a 32″ HP Omen 2560×1440 Display that supports FreeSync and neither setup has any problems.
The only negative that I had with the game is forests and areas around the river. Trees will look like you can walk through them, but there is an imaginary wall. When the character swims in the river he sometimes is not being able to get out of the water in areas that look like he should be able to exit from. Other than that, it’s an excellent title if you enjoy the series!
I had my doubts at first that it may not be that fun, but I started playing it and I like the big amount and varieties of games that are included!
I haven’t had a chance to play the multiplayer parts yet, but if it’s as fun as single player is then you should be in for one hell of a treat! The game is addictively fun for the whole family!
The Stronghold Collections gives you four different releases of Stronghold all in one for $5.00, which is an excellent deal no doubt! All versions are released by Firefly Studios and all are suited for RTS fans of any age. Each version has both an economic campaign and a combat campaign. All are Real Time Strategy games, based around the concept of a strong medieval castle defense.
The versions included are all similar in that you have to gather resources, which you can use to build your defenses and also manufacture armaments to create more combat units. There is no fog of war, which I found refreshing and a good change from the average RTS fare, but some might find the ability to see everything on the entire map unnerving. Still, for the great price, you won’t find a collection this extensive anytime soon.
This little jewel is a blast to play. It’s a fairly casual and low-stress game that’s suited for any age level. But don’t let the childish graphics fool you…this game can be a son of a bitch to complete. Being into computers since the dawn of time, I find these indie games very retro. I feel like I’m going back to the DOS Days of gaming which is actually not a bad thing! This is one of those games you’ll keep coming back for again and again. A great little time waster that won’t break your bank account!
